Old News from January 2006
- Posted Thursday, January 26, 2006 by Josh I probably posted this before, but I've completely gone through the entire spreadsheet and improved things. The big feature of the new spreadsheet is a 'Brake Torque Calculator'. The calculator has drop down boxes that you select your current car/brake setup, as well as what your future brake setup might be, and gives you a percent change in brake torque. It's a must for those of you looking at upgrading to say WRX brakes. By the way, if you don't see your vehicle or see an error, don't hesitate to contact me.

Long over due update
- Posted Tuesday, January 24, 2006 by Josh Well I've been severely lacking updating this site or any updates on the progress of the motor swap. Nothing too new to report. I did get the car dyno'd and it's putting down around 153 hp & 155 ft-lbs of torque. Here are dyno print outs:
In the second sheet you can see the massive change in AFR. That is more then likely due to the catalytic converter. I have a Zeitronix wideband O2 sensor I'm working on installing. I should have it going in the next week or two.
On another note, I'm still battling a hesitation/stumble with the Perfect Power engine management, and don't necessarily see a light at the end of the tunnel.
In about a month I start my review class and studying for my professional engineer license exam. Once that happens, I will probably have zero amount of time to work on the car until after the exam in April.
