No update on the browser issues
- Posted Tuesday, October 21, 2003 by Josh I have gotten zero response back from anyone about the menu script I use. I will try Opera support. If I run into a dead end there, all I can suggest is use a different browser then Opera 7 to view my site.
Sti Motor mounts
- Posted Tuesday, October 21, 2003 by Josh Impressions on the install, what a complete pain in the butt to install! I will save you the nitty gritty details, but essentually you must remove the exhaust manifold from engine, jack the motor up a few inchs, and then play find the hidden greasy rear bolt on the old mounts. Once that's done, you get to put it back together, and then try and move the engine back 1/4" so the studs go back in the crossmember.
However I will say that driving impression is WOW! I had a nasty hesitation from idle when I stomped on it, and it has reduced dramitically, and would probably go away if I reset the ECU. The only explanation I can think of is the engine was moving and creating a resonance frequency that was triggering the knock sensor.
Down side is there is extra vibration. It's mainly noticable at idle, that's the only real time I notice it.
- Posted Tuesday, October 7, 2003 by Josh It was brought to my attention that the browser Opera doesn't work with the Java menu I'm using.
I've tracked the issue down to the compatibility between the menu and Opera 7 only. Opera 6 seems to work ok with the menu.
Hopefully a fix can be found. If and when it does I'll apply it, and let ya know.
Waxed the Legacy
- Posted Sunday, October 5, 2003 by Josh I finally got some time to wax and clean up the paint on the car. It's been over a year since the last time I waxed it.
Here's the pics
I highly recommend a product called safecut by the wax shop. It's an excellent paint prep product to remove swirls, haze, etc. Wax Shop
